DivCo Milk Truck

The Build

A Divco milk truck built by Bodie Stroud Industries.

Vehicle History

Built in Detroit by the Diversified Vehicle Corporation, Divco milk trucks were purpose-built delivery vehicles with a cab-forward stance that let the driver step in and out all day. They became the workhorse of American home milk delivery from the 1930s through the 1960s.

With its tall, glass-house cab, the Divco was one of the most recognizable delivery trucks on mid-century American streets.
