The Build
A one-off chili cheese dog gravity racer built by Bodie Stroud Industries for Adam Carolla and Barney's Beanery to compete in the Red Bull Challenge.
When Adam Carolla teamed up with the historic Barney's Beanery on Route 66 for Red Bull's challenge, Bodie Stroud Industries answered with the most unapologetic machine on the grid: a full-size chili cheese dog. The mustard-yellow bun body carries Barney's Beanery, The Car Show, Speed Channel and BS Industries livery under race number 33, the chili topping piles over the cockpit, and a glossy red wiener nose and tail cap each end. Wheels, spindles and steering were built to BS Industries' hot-rod standards, because even a joke car deserves real craftsmanship.
Vehicle History
Built as a soapbox-style gravity racer for Red Bull's challenge event, the car honors Adam Carolla's favorite haunt, the historic Barney's Beanery on Route 66, and raced down a hay-bale-lined course in downtown Los Angeles.
Raced through downtown Los Angeles as a giant chili cheese dog — chili topping, red wiener nose and all — under number 33.
