The Build
A 1970 Boss 429 Mustang treated with the care its NASCAR heritage demands.
One of just 499 Boss 429s built for 1970, this Mustang came into the BSI shop for a full teardown restoration. Bodie kept its Calypso Coral factory look untouched while rebuilding the 429 'semi-hemi' with modern internals and upgrading the suspension and braking systems for real drivability.
- One of only 499 Boss 429 Mustangs built for 1970
- Originally assembled through Kar Kraft to fit the massive 'semi-hemi' 429
- Full teardown restoration by Bodie Stroud Industries with modern engine internals
Vehicle History
The Boss 429 Mustang was built for one reason: to homologate Ford's semi-hemi 429 engine for NASCAR. Each car was shipped to Kar Kraft for hand-assembly, and just 859 were built in 1970, making it one of the rarest and most valuable Mustangs ever.
