The 1963½ Ford Galaxie 500 fastback was built explicitly for NASCAR, its sloping roofline improving high-speed stability on the superspeedways. With the R-Code 427 dual-quad V8 rated at 425 horsepower, it was one of the most dominant stock cars of its era.
