427 SOHC Cammer for the 1963.5 Ford Galaxie

QMP Racing has done it again, they brought us another beast to wrap a car around. A 427 SOHC Cammer going into a 1963.5 R Code Ford Galaxie, putting out 750 horse power! Bodie talked to Brad Lagman, owner of QMP, on his radio show last Saturday. He unleashed the roar of his latest engine on the guys. If you’re ever in Chatsworth, CA stop by his shop to hear it for yourself or visit him on the web at www.qmpracing.com.

First Kick off Show

Saturday January 28th we kicked off the First Radio show right smack in the middle of the main building at the Grand National Roadster Show! We had special guest John Buck, Show Manager of www.rodshows.com and the voice of The Tonight Show, Wally Wingert, who is also a customer of ours. Wally owns a 1974 Ford Gran Torino that is, yes, exactly like the one in “Starsky and Hutch”. You can find more about Wally at www.wallyontheweb.com. We also had Jesse Kershaw from Ford Racing who talked to the guys about new parts and of course, that (in Bodie’s words) “bitchin motor”, the 5.0 Aluminator. Mike Herman, owner of H&H flat heads was also on the show who is the “go-to” guy when it comes to flatheads, you can find Mike at www.flatheads-forever.com. Our last but not least special guest that day was Paul Michael Glaser, “Starsky” himself! How cool is that? It’s just one of those things that doesn’t happen every day. Paul talked about his latest book: Chrystallia and the Source of Light, which you can purchase at http://www.paulmichaelglaser.org/chrystallia.html.

It was a good show and a little nerve wracking being Bodie’s and Mitchell’s first Radio show! But it always takes a little diving in to cold water for it to really warm up. So we hope you all tune in every Saturday at 9:00am PST www.crntalk.com for more “In the Garage with Bodie Stroud”!
