A Bunch of BS

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

The Scarliner (AKA the 1960 Ford Starliner) will be comming back from paint next week! So we have to hurry with the chassis, we are a little behind on finishing the chassis but i think in the next few weeks the car will be about 80% finished, we have missed our deadline for the TV show but it is such a cool build that they have given us an extension, I think that four months on this big of a project is pretty damn good!

nope

The 55 chevy is comming together and we are about 70% complete on it, right now we are doing all the plumbing for fuel, oil, power steering, trans, etc. The LS7 corvette motor is a dry sump which means there is now oil pan, so what we have done is hidden the oil resevoir in the trunk, we have also hidden the A/C unit in the trunk as well to make it nice and clean up under the dash and not all cluttered!

As for the baddest 1956 Ford F100 in the world with the Supercharged LS7 corvette motor, is kind of on hiadus do to us being so busy, so we will keep you posted

ED WOOD

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

Ed wood passed away Wednesday January the 26th 2009, for those of you who didnt know Ed Wood he was my uncle, a well known hot rod builder among other things out of Bakersfield Ca. Some say that is who i took after when it comes to his wild ideas in building cars. Ed Wood was featured in qiute a few magazines including Hot Rod magazine and a recent issue of Car Kulture DeLuxe magazine.

One of the cars he is really known for is a 1964 Chevelle with twin 400ci Oldsmobile engines putting out 500HP, and then later taking out the Old’s motors and installing a 1710 Ci Allison V12 out of a P38 putting out 1500 HP.

Ed has built many different cars in his time, he had a ’46 Chevy with a 302 GMC six clinder in it. He also had both a ’41 and ’42 Chevys, three ’55 Chevy’s with Oldsmobile engines in them. By 1966 he became a pretty well known drag racer at the Famoso Drag Strip in Bakersfield Ca. Among Eds other pusuits he built a Gyro Helicopter back in the 50′s and flew it out at Famoso. The family and the Hot Rod world will surely miss him, and i will do my best to keep his legacy going!
